Description

Lancashire County Cricket Club is a cricket club, situated in  Trafford . The club was formed in 1864. The Club is one of the eighteen clubs which make up the English County Championship. Lancashire county cricket club participates in many competitions such as Twenty 20, Limited overs and Pro 40 cricket.  The club also has great achievements as they have won County Championship seven times and have won 17 one day trophies. The club’s academy is well known in the world as they have produced some of the best talented players in the world such as Andrew Flintoff and James Anderson who have respectively represented England Cricket Team and shown their potential to the world.

Purpose

The purpose of the website is to keep everyone involved with the club to be updated with events which are happening around the club.  Also the other purpose of this website is to allow people to buy tickets from their homes, which saves peoples traveling time and cost.

Intended user

The intended users for this website are mainly people who are related to the club, the fans who support Lancashire county cricket club, also people who play cricket.

Strengths

1)  Keeps track of all the matches played and their scorecard. This means that if you missed a match and want to know the scorecard you could easily find out the scores.

I wanted to look for a player called karl brown as I wanted to know more about the player. I searched karl brown and it gave me too many searches for “karl brown” which some weren’t relevant. So i had to look for the relevant link and as soon as i found my link i clicked on it and it gave me the information that i was looking for.

I wanted to buy a ticket for a match. To buy the ticket i went in the ticket section but i found an issue and it was that i needed to make an account with them before i buy the ticket. This process wasted a lot of my time. After that i entered my bank details to get the ticket.

Micro-blogging is basically a form of multimedia blogging, which is a combination of blogging and instant messaging. Blogging allows users to create short messages to update their status and allows up to 140 characters to be used in their update. Micro-blogging also has some limitation these can be limitations in characters, and it is also prone to take off the topics easily. To do blogging there are numerous websites which you can visit, such as Jaiku, Twitter and Tumblr.

Twitter is the most widely used Micro-blogging site in the world. Twitter allows learner to be more aware of the various issues happening around the world. It also allows learner to keep in touch with people, which means they can discuss information online.  Jaiku is another famous micro-blogging site, it allows learner to see another persons presence online which means a learner can do real time communication with the other users.
